Lewis Porter

Partner: Lewis Porter MRICS


Lewis Porter is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Quantity Surveying and since joining VB Evans in 1979, Lewis has gained considerable experience in all aspects of quantity surveying, covering hospitals, commercial premises, church work, schools, leisure facilities and malicious damage repair work with particular skills in social housing.  
He has also been involved in building surveying and project management work across a wide spectrum of building types and has been involved in the formulation of extensive planned maintenance surveys and the assessment of associated costs for several clients.
 
Responsibilities
Lewis is the partner with specific responsibility for managing the Belfast office and is the point of contact for our clients in the education, healthcare and housing sectors, delivering building surveying and cost management help.

Continuing professional development
As a Member of the RICS, Lewis has provided a series of lectures and tutorials to the 3rd year architectural students at Queen’s University, Belfast and ARCEX as part of the Professional Practice and Practical Experience course and also for the final year students on the postgraduate architecture with SPACE course.
Lorna Auld

Partner: Lorna Auld MRICS RMaPS


Lorna Auld joined VB Evans in 1989 as a graduate from the Ulster University at Jordanstown with a BSc degree in quantity surveying. Her placement year had been spent with a local multi-professional office where she received excellent experience in both pre and post contract QS duties.
She was elected a professional member of the RICS in 1992. In September 1995 she was promoted to become an associate at the practice.
As a qualified CDMC, Lorna has a clear understanding of the Health and Safety measures to be included within a scheme of this nature.

Responsibilities
Lorna is the partner with specific responsibility for managing and accessing any requirements under the CDM regulations.
Lorna heads up a team of quantity surveyors delivering projects across the whole range of sectors covered by VB Evans.

Continuing professional development
Lorna is responsible for the organisation of in-house training seminars, which are designed to broaden the professional knowledge of staff within the firm and highlight new ideas and directions within the building and property industry.

Lorna is an APC Supervisor, which involves the supervision, assessment and guidance of probationary members on their route to full professional membership of the RICS.
